Reviews on SupercarMenu
Reviews are not open yet. When they open, these rules apply to every review and every company reply.
Who can write a review
You can write a review if you are 18 or over and rented a car from the company in the last 24 months, or were a named driver on that rental. You confirm this when you send your review. You can have one review of each company on SupercarMenu at a time.
What we check
We email you a link to confirm your email address. It works for 48 hours. A moderator then reads every review before it is published, usually within 3 working days.
A program marks possible phone numbers, email addresses, links, car plates, insults and accusations for the moderator. It never rejects a review by itself and does not look at the star rating. A person makes every decision.
We do not check that you rented from the company.
What to write
Describe your own rental: the car, the price you paid, the deposit and when it came back, and how the company treated you. Give facts and amounts. If something went wrong, say what was agreed, what you paid and what happened.
What we do not publish
- names of staff or other people, phone numbers, email addresses, car plates, or ID or contract numbers;
- insults, threats or attacks on someone’s character;
- saying as a fact that someone committed a crime;
- anything that is not about your own rental from this company;
- reviews by the company’s owners, staff or their relatives, or by its competitors;
- reviews written for money, a discount or any other benefit;
- advertising, links, spam or repeated text;
- a second review of the same company;
- anything else that is illegal to publish.
We publish every review that follows these rules, whatever its star rating.
What is shown
Your display name, star rating, title and text, the month of your rental, the date we published it, and the car and what happened to your deposit if you tell us. Your email address is never shown and never given to the company. How we handle your data: privacy notice.
Newest reviews come first. A company’s rating is the average of the stars in all its published reviews, shown with the number of reviews.
If we do not publish or we remove your review
We email you which rule it breaks and why. If a change would fix it, we tell you what to change. Reply with the corrected text. If it follows the rules, we publish it exactly as you wrote it. We never change your words ourselves.
If you think we got it wrong, reply to our email within 6 months and say why. We look at it again and give you a final answer within 5 working days. You can also go to court, or complain to the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (RRT) or to the authority in your EU country.
Taking down or changing your review
Email hello@supercarmenu.com from the address you used, and we take your review off the site within 5 working days. To change it, ask us to take it down and send a new one. If you also want your data deleted, say so. The privacy notice explains what we delete and when.
Company replies
A company can post one public reply to each review. A moderator checks it against the same rules first. A reply must not show your personal details. If we do not publish a reply, we tell the company which rule it breaks.
Reporting a review
Anyone can report a review with the Report link under it, or by email to hello@supercarmenu.com with the review link and the reason. A report does not hide the review. A moderator checks it against these rules within 5 working days, and within 2 working days when it is about personal data, threats or other illegal content. If we have your email address, we confirm that we received your report and tell you what we decided and why.
If a company says a reviewer was not its customer, we may ask the reviewer to describe the rental and send proof, such as the rental agreement or a receipt. The reviewer may cover other details on it. The review stays up while we wait. If we get no answer within 14 days, or the answer does not show a rental from that company, we remove the review. We use the proof only for this check and delete it 30 days after we decide.
We also remove a review when a court or a competent authority orders it. See corrections and removal requests.
Payments and invitations
We never pay for reviews. No payment, now or later, removes, hides, changes or reorders a review. A company may invite its customers to write a review, but it must invite all of them, not only the happy ones.
